Call for Abstracts and Participation

Fourth Annual Conference of the Australasian Bayesian Network Modelling Society (ABNMS2012)
November 26 - 27, 2012: Pre-Conference Tutorials
November 28 - 29, 2012: Conference
University of Wollongong

Bayesian networks have become a significant tool in a rapidly emerging area of applied Artificial Intelligence in Australasia. The Society has been established to support the use and development of Bayesian networks, to further the technology and advance applications.

The organising committee for ABNMS2012 is pleased to invite submission of abstracts for presentation and posters.

Papers are invited from all fields. Past papers have covered a wide range of disciplines including environmental management, engineering, law, infrastructure and medicine, and a variety of technical aspects on the method of development, data learning, linking GIS and BNs expert elicitation approaches, and lessons learnt from particular BN projects.

Papers are also invited for four special sessions which will be incorporated into this conference:

  1. Real-world applications of Bayesian Networks;
  2. Integration of geospatial data and Bayesian Networks;
  3. Emerging methods and tools for Bayesian Networks; and
  4. Expert elicitation of data.
